MV Supersport

Choose from private double ensuited berths to share facility bunk rooms for those productions on a budget. MV Supersport is a 95 tonne catamaran mothership with 14 cabins sleeping one to three people per cabin. The main saloon seats 42 people for meals and production meetings. All the comforts of shore based accommodation from ready made beds to on-board barbecues await surrounded by the unsurpassed splendor that is the Great Barrier Reef.

A complete film production support platform is positioned on the outer reef out from the prestigious town of Port Douglas. Centrally located near Opal reef, just 45 minutes in our high-speed water taxis from Port Douglas, the floating production facilities and accommodation  awaits.  This fully licensed, air conditioned mothership is permantly positioned in the shelter within a calm water location on the Outer Great Barrier Reef. Our fleet of production support vessels can ferry crews safely to and from base at MV SuperSport to reveal  a wide range of brilliant underwater film locations.

Port Douglas has long been associated as a centre for large motion picture, commercial and natural history film productions. The challenges of servicing large productions and their crews, along with accessing brilliant underwater filming locations is now totally supported by a network of film professionals through MORFF.
